About Andrea

As the proud mom of 2 boys now 12 and 9 Andrea understands the challenges of self-care and prioritizing your health while taking care of a family and working full time. She treasures her time with her boys and is driven to stay healthy for them.

While pregnant Andrea developed a deeper understanding of nutrition. From there expanded her knowledge of nutrition in the womb, lactation and childhood nutrition. She has helped a wide range of clients from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Andrea believes in the medicinal value of food and focuses her efforts on the inclusion verse the exclusion of foods. Although changing one’s eating habits can be challenging, she believes dietary changes should not cause stress or feelings of deprivation. Her goal instead is to help clients adjust their intake leading to an improvement in mood and overall well-being.

Andrea has a master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. She relocated to Seattle, WA in 2004 and began to specialize in weight management working as a research dietitian for Fred Hutchinson’s Cancer Research Center. After returning to New York Andrea worked as a retail dietitian before obtaining her position as a bariatric nutritionist. She has her Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management and is a New York State Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist. She started her virtual practice in June 2019 and looks forward to helping you improve your quality of life, overall well-being and meet your goals.
